About the event
In October of 2018, Loveness Wesa came to one of Sean Frenette's house concerts. Towards the end she spoke up in appreciate of his electric classical guitar and then asked if he'd consider collaborating. Moments later she was on stage teaching him the guitar part to one of her songs and the resulting creation was the highlight of the evening.
This event at the beautiful Hallowed Halls will be an extraordinary opportunity for Loveness Wesa and Sean to fully explore the possibilities of their combined musical gifts. Expect to move and be moved. Expect the unexpected.
As Loveness Wesa says, "this is more than just a musical performance - it is an experience, a spiritual journey, deep into the core of your being, the 'Love-Field of all Possibilities.'"
"Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter Sean Frenette has been inspiring audiences with the passion, virtuosity, and spirit of his unique musical performances. With 3 string guitar, electric-classical guitar, woodwinds, piano and voice, Sean artfully blends improvisation and slow-crafted composition, as well as a great breadth of musical influences (Michael Hedges, Eliot Fisk, Jimi Hendrix, Zakir Hussain, Edgar Meyer, Björk, Jeff Buckley, Fela Kuti, Tool, Thelonius Monk, Debussy, and Bach.)
Sean's performance history is vast and eclectic. He has performed three times at Carnegie Hall, on three different instruments, and in three different musical genres. In 2005, he provided opening music at a fundraiser featuring Carlos Santana. The last many years have seen Sean touring across the U.S. and internationally primarily as a core member of the kirtan ensemble Shantala along with frequent guests Grammy-winner/bansuri flutist Steve Gorn and Beyoncé's guitarist/music director Bibi McGill.

“I have been singing and performing for the past 40 years. I learned to sing and dance my pain up to the surface until there is nothing left within me but BLISS. My music is here to serve humanity and all souls; to remind each and every one of us that we have the power to heal ourselves. My goal is to allow my audience to feel better than they have felt in a long time.
If my music invigorates something in you, congratulations! This means the song’s message is able to travel through your being to those places that need alignments. Blockages can be loosened up and released on this day. As a musician, practitioner and teacher, I hope that you will go home with a special feeling that you can remember for a very, very long time, and be able to pass it onto your children and your children’s children.”
There is an option for a webcast if you are not able to come in person: you can watch from the comfort of your home via Zoom webcast. You will be sent a link upon registration through your email of preference.
